A few things to know.

About the conversations, the boundaries, and getting started.

Getting started

What can we talk about?

The everyday disagreements that are hard to resolve alone: sharing chores, money, noise, boundaries, or feeling unheard. Bring one specific issue to work through together, or use a private reflection to figure out what you want to say.

How does inviting the other person work?

Start a conversation and share the private invite code or link by text or email. The other person creates a free account and joins on their own phone or computer. You each complete a private safety check-in, then talk together in real time, taking turns.

What does it cost?

Your first solo reflection and your first live mediation are free. After that, one subscription - $10/month or $80/year - unlocks unlimited, and the person you invite always joins free. Your first subscription starts with a 7-day free trial, so you can try unlimited before you’re charged.

Which devices does it work on?

iPhone, Android, and the web. Your account and history follow you, so you can pick up the same conversation on any device.

Privacy and safety

Is Peaceful Pairs therapy?

No. Peaceful Pairs is a communication and relationship-wellness tool - a neutral mediator that helps two people work through a disagreement, or helps you reflect on your own. It is not therapy, counseling, or medical care, it doesn’t diagnose or treat anything, and it isn’t a substitute for a licensed professional.

Is my conversation private?

Yes - your conversations aren’t sold, and the app has no ads or trackers. To generate replies, your messages are processed by trusted third-party AI providers that don’t use them to train their models. In a mediation, each person only sees the sessions they took part in, and your solo reflections are never shown to another user. You can delete your account anytime - though messages you already sent in a shared conversation remain in the other person’s copy. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.

What if someone isn’t safe?

When the system identifies a safety concern or crisis, it stops the mediation and points you toward human support and crisis resources. You can seek professional help or go directly to campus staff at any time. Peaceful Pairs does not notify staff or open a case on your behalf. The app is not an emergency service. If you are in crisis, call or text 988; if someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency number. See our Terms of Use for the app’s safety boundaries.

For schools

Can our campus try a pilot?

We offer free campus pilots. Get in touch to discuss who will take part and what you would like to learn.

Can staff read students’ conversations?

Conversations are private to the students in them and are never sold. Staff do not have access to read them. Students choose whether to share a saved summary or agreement.

How do students get access?

With a campus site license, students verify their school email to receive access. Peaceful Pairs works on iPhone, Android, and the web. Students can also try a free reflection and a free conversation before their campus is set up.

What does it cost a school?

One annual site license per campus, billed by contract. Pricing depends on your residential population, with no individual student billing. We can discuss campus pricing and a free pilot when we meet.
